Nothing rude. It's basically the act of ignoring boring, dull yet important work to persue more interesting and enjoyable activities. Like forgetting to do your homework cos your were on myspace.

This is basic overview of what procrastination is; the effects, examples of how it works etc. Everybody thinks its something to be cured; almost a mental illness. Evidence for this is the fact that I typed "procrastination" into google and came up with results of how to overcome and deal with it.

However, I heard on the radio the other day that a recent study has shown that procrastinators, who forgo boring essays to buff up their myspace profile are simply more creative beings who, in all fairness, prefer more creative pastimes than essays etc.

I can't find a webpage that would explain this properly (because of all the self-help pages) but just knowing that makes me feel alot better about myself
